Oklahoma AΩ Chapter
The Alpha & Omega (AΩ) Chapter of the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association® (CVMA®) is the honorary chapter designated for members who have passed away. In the biker community and within the CVMA® specifically, it represents the "final transfer" of a member from their home chapter to an eternal one.
Symbolism: The name uses the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet, symbolizing the beginning and the end. It signifies that while a member's physical ride has concluded, their place in the association remains permanent.
Honorary Status: Members are not "removed" from the CVMA® rosters upon death; instead, they are officially inducted into the AΩ Chapter to ensure their service and brotherhood are never forgotten.
The "Final Ride": When a member passes, it is common for their local chapter to perform a ceremony or a "Final Ride" to honor their transition into AΩ.
Vets Helping Vets: Even in the AΩ Chapter, the CVMA® mission remains. The association continues to support the families of these members, keeping the spirit of the organization's motto alive through memorial grants or local support.
Essentially, the AΩ Chapter ensures that no matter how much time passes, a fallen brother or sister will always have a "home" within the formation.
